I got this to fix up my grammar and punctuation in my novel. Having graduated over 20 years ago, I was rusty. Good book, easy to understand and good examples. I was pleased with it.

Summary: "Just what was looking for."

I'll be teaching (for the first time) a 'written expression' class in a Paris college specialized in intercultural studies this Fall. The students (sophomores) are non-native speakers, who are studying to become future translators, interpreters or international business managers. I needed something to build my class around and came upon the Blue Book via internet. I was able to look inside and then ordered it. The book was here in France in less than two weeks. It fits the bill, perfectly.

I bought the book, hoping to get an authoritative point of view on tricky grammar questions. It works but doesn't necessarily make me feel like it's the best thing out there. I'll look through it some more and use it as a reference.

Summary: "A "Blue Ribbon Book" on a dull subject!"

Having spent my early years dodging as many English Grammar courses and tests (both in High School and College)as I could, I found myself for many years in the workplace wondering if a comma goes here or a colon goes there.
This book has answered all those questions for me, and in such an easy way to access the information! I'd recommend this book be kept in the desk of anyone who works in a business environment. Just whip it out when you're stuck, and the answers are at your fingertips. It also provides Quizzes to test how well you've learned each subject.
